Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh ke Mathura district mein sthit ek pavitra dharmik sthal hai jo Bhagwan Shri Krishna ki leelabhumi ke roop mein jaana jaata hai. Yahi par sthit hai Banke Bihari Mandir, jo bhakti, shanti aur adhyatmikta ka ek zinda prateek hai. Har saal lakhon bhakt yahan sirf ek jhalak paane ke liye aate hain.

Banke Bihari ji ka matlab hota hai "Jhuke hue roop mein viharan karne wale Krishna". "Banke" ka arth hai jhuke hue, aur "Bihari" ka matlab hai ghoomne wale. Yeh roop unka sabse madhur aur mohit karne wala roop maana jaata hai.
Is mandir mein jo murti sthapit hai, woh Shri Radha-Krishna ka ek roop hai jismein dono ek saath vilin ho gaye hain.
Vrindavan ke Banke Bihari Mandir mein Bhagwan Shree Krishna ek anokhe aur ati-madhur roop mein virajmaan hain – jise hum Banke Bihari ji kehte hain. Yeh roop Bhagwan Krishna ka sabse prema-may, saundarya-yukt aur mohak roop mana jaata hai. Is roop mein Shree Krishna swayam Radha Rani ke saath ek roop mein virajmaan hain – jahan bhakt ek hi moorti mein dono ki jhalak paate hain.
Banke ka arth hota hai “jhoome hue” ya “thoda sa jhuka hua”. Shree Krishna ka roop yahan tribhanga mudra mein hai – jismein teen jagah se sharir thoda jhuka hua hota hai: gardan, kamar aur ghutna. Yeh unka sabse manmohak roop hai.
Bihari ka matlab hai “jo viharan karte hain” ya “leela mein magan rehte hain” – yani jo Vrindavan mein Radha ji ke saath prem-leelaon mein vyast rehte hain.
Toh Banke Bihari ka arth hua: woh Krishna jo apni madhur leelaon mein, tribhanga roop mein, Radha ke saath sada vihar karte hain. Ek hi moorti mein Radha-Krishna
Is mandir ki sabse vishesh baat yeh hai ki yahan Shree Krishna kisi samanya roop mein nahi, balki Radha Rani ke saath milkar ek hi vigrah mein virajmaan hain. Yeh ek adbhut roop hai jahan Radha aur Krishna alag nahi, balki ek hai – “Radhakrishna ekatm roop”.
Is roop mein Shree Krishna ki murti ka chehra itna madhur aur akarshak hai ki kaha jaata hai, jin bhakton ka mann shuddh ho, wo is roop mein dono ki anubhuti kar sakte hain.
Banke Bihari ji ke darshan kisi bhi anya mandir ke darshanon jaise nahi hote. Yahan parde ke peeche se bar-bar darshan diye jaate hain – kuch seconds ke liye parda hata jaata hai, phir fir se band kar diya jaata hai. Aisa isliye kiya jaata hai kyunki Banke Bihari ji ke netra itne akarshak hain ki unka lagataar darshan karne se bhakt behosh tak ho jaate hain.
Yahan regular aarti bhi nahi hoti, kyonki Banke Bihari ji khud bhakt ke jaise hain, unke saath "seva" bhav se sambandh banaya jaata hai, na ki “devta” ke jaise.
Banke Bihari ji ki murti shyaam varna mein hai – bilkul ghan megh jaise. Unki muskaan aur aankhon mein ek aisi mohini shakti hai jo bhakt ke mann ko turant kheench leti hai. Murti ko sajaya jaata hai sundar vastron, haaron, mukut aur mor-pankh se – jisse wo roop aur bhi divya ban jaata hai.
Banke Bihari Mandir mein Shree Krishna Radha-Krishna ke ekatmak roop mein virajmaan hain – jo prem, bhakti, aur divyata ka prateek hai. Yeh roop duniya ke kisi aur mandir mein nahi milta. Isliye Vrindavan jaane par Banke Bihari ji ke darshan avashya karne chahiye – yeh anubhav aapke jeevan ki sabse pavitra yaatra ban sakti hai.
Mandir mein Bhagwan ke darshan ekdum alag tareeke se hote hain. Yahan ek hi baar mein zyada der tak darshan allowed nahi hote, balki bar-bar parde ko khola jaata hai aur phir band kiya jaata hai. Aisa kaha jaata hai ki Bhagwan ke drishti se bhakt mohit ho jate hain, isliye inhe limited time ke liye hi dekha jaata hai.
Mandir ka mahaul itna shuddh aur bhakti se bhara hua hota hai ki yahaan aake mann shaant ho jaata hai. Bhajan, kirtan, aur ghanti ki aawazon ke beech jab aap Bhagwan ke samne khade hote ho, to lagta hai jaise sab kuch chhodke sirf ek atmik connection ban gaya ho.
Holi, Janmashtami, Jhulan Utsav jaise tyohaaron ke dauran yah mandir ekdam jeevant ho uthta hai. Holi mein phoolon aur gulal ki barish hoti hai aur Janmashtami pe Krishna janm ke natak ki bhoomika ki jaati hai.

Mandir ka itihas 16th century mein jaata hai, jab Swami Haridas ji – jo ek mahan sant, Krishna bhakt aur sangeetkar the – Vrindavan ke Nidhivan mein rehte the. Unki bhakti se prasan hoke Bhagwan Shri Krishna aur Radha ji ne unke samne prakat darshan diye.
Swami ji ne prarthana ki ki wo unhe apne roop mein sthir roop mein dekh sakein. Tabhi Radha-Krishna ek roop mein vilin hokar ek moorti ban gaye – yahi murti aaj Banke Bihari ji ke roop mein mandir mein sthapit hai.
Pehle yeh moorti Nidhivan mein sthapit thi. Bhakton ki sankhya badhne ke baad 1864 mein is murti ko ek naye aur bhavy mandir mein sthapit kiya gaya. Yeh mandir Nagara shaili mein bana hua hai, jismein kala aur vastu shastra ka sundar mel hai.
Mandir ke dwar, chhat, aur bhittiyon par ki gayi nakashi iske saundarya mein chaar chaand laga deti hai.
Mandir Se Judi Vishesh Baatein
Is mandir mein pratidin aarti nahi hoti jaise anya mandiron mein hoti hai. Sirf kuch khaas tithi par hi aarti hoti hai jaise Janmashtami, Radhashtami, aur Holi. Yahan par ‘seva’ ko zyada mahatva diya gaya hai aarti ke bajaye.
Bhagwan ke darshan ek parde ke madhyam se hote hain. Har kuch seconds baad parda hataaya jaata hai aur phir lagaa diya jaata hai. Kaha jaata hai ki Bhagwan ki aankhen itni madhur hain ki unhe lagataar dekhne se bhakt behosh bhi ho sakte hain.
Yahan pooja-paddhati mein bhagwan ko mitra ya pariwarik sadasya jaise treat kiya jaata hai. Din bhar unki seva hoti hai – unko khilaya jaata hai, sulaaya jaata hai, aur unke liye sangeet bhi kiya jaata hai.

Banke Bihari Mandir sirf ek dharmik sthal nahi, balki ek bhavuk anubhav hai. Yahan aakar aisa mehsoos hota hai jaise Bhagwan khud apke saamne hain. Bhakti, shaanti, aur adhyatmik urja se bhara hua yeh mandir har bhakt ko ek baar zarur dekhna chahiye.
